Houston Texans
The Texans have made some crazy, crazy moves in the offseason. Letting, in my opinion, the best wide receiver in the league leave in a trade for little value for an injury ravaged David Johnson. The Texans also gave up more draft capital for Brandin ‘concussion’ Cooks who has had 5 concussions in his 6 years in the league. Deshaun Watson is one of the best QBs in the league but the Texans are asking him to carry the team on his back and I can’t see it panning out.
Prediction: 5-11
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts have the best GM in the league and the 2 best lines in this division but Phil Rivers just doesn’t cut the mustard anymore. I think his drop off will continue once more this season. The Colts gave up their first round pick in the draft for proven DT Deforest Buckner, which should make the Colts a tougher team on defence.
Prediction: 9-7
Tennessee Titans
The Titans made a spectacular run to the playoffs under resurgent QB Ryan Tannehill and monster running back Derrick Henry. However I think it will be a lot harder this time around especially with a very tough away schedule.
Prediction: 8-8
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags have put all their eggs in Gardner Minshew’s basket this season after the Nick Foles experiment didn’t pan out as expected. I think the Jags have tried to replace some key players from seasons past in this draft but this year looks set to be another write-off for the them unless Minshew is unleashed and makes a huge step up in year 2.
Prediction: 2-14
