NFL Week 3 2020 Round Up

Week 3 NFL Results

Week 3 belongs to Pat Mahomes and Rob’s beloved Chiefs, as they proved their credentials for going ‘back-to-back’ (as if there were still any doubters out there). Going into Baltimore and beating them by 14, Mahomes hit the weeks highest passer rating (133.5) and in doing so he became the fastest player in history to 10,000 passing yards. Staggering. It all makes his contract look like a bargain buy. Just think Chiefs Kingdom, you could’ve had Mitch…

Speaking of Mitch, he was finally benched for Foles this week and the Bears were at it again… Or should that be “the Falcons at it again”? Either way, Foles led them to another unlikely comeback, becoming the first team in NFL history to win 2 games in the same season when down by at least 16 points in the 4th quarter. Another addition to the NFL injury list, the Bears’ Tarik Cohen, who will be out long term with a torn ACL.

Let’s have a look at how the other Far From Lombardi teams got on in week 3. It all got underway with a very solid win for Tony’s Dolphins smashing the Jags in Duval County, and winning him $250 from a random Twitter stranger in the process. Wide receiver Dontrelle Inman scored twice for Mark’s “Football Team” but it wasn’t enough to help them to victory as they lost to the Browns. Last and most definitely least, with both Darnold and Jones recording the worst passer ratings in week 3, Tom’s Jets and the Barkley-less Giants lost by a combined score of 72-16. Oh dear.

A special shout out to the Vikings; having the player with the most rushing yards (Cook, 181) and most receiving yards (Jefferson, 175) whilst still managing to lose the game. Great work, keep it up Vikings!

Week 3 Bet Results

It is with lashings of embarrassment that I report the week 3 bet results. The lament of gamblers throughout the ages, the one that let us down… This week we went 4-1 and I am the one that let us down. My love for Vic Fangio clashed with my hatred for the Buccs’ Bandwagon, letting my heart rule the head cost us over a grand. Sound. I’m now as popular as the Chargers team doctor in Tyrod’s house.

The Tipster Table

After 3 weeks we’ve got a 3 way tie at the top… If anything the table below just highlights the obvious, it might be boring, but bet in singles not accumulators for steady profits!

Week 3 Fantasy Football Results

Rob and Tom are holding their own at the top, both moving to 3-0. The listeners make up the middle of the pack as they all go in search of that free jersey, whilst the rest of Far From Lombardi make up the bottom 3.
Incredible scoring this week from The Hotboyz, racking up 192 points, which is the highest weekly total we’ve had so far. Skins (isn’t this banned now Mark?) put up great numbers again only to lose again! Don’t worry Mark, you’ll soon be playing me… not only did I mess the Far from Lombardi acca up this week, but I also scored the lowest in the fantasy league… what a week.

If you open a William Hill account using any of our links you’ll be supporting the site and the podcast but more importantly, if you’re a new player you can get the William Hill 2 x £15 free bets for a £10er. Don’t be a divvy though, betting is supposed to be fun, if you can’t laugh about losing what you’ve bet, you’ve bet too much, take it easy, or you’ll end up like us lot!
