NFL Week 4 2020 Round Up

Week 4 NFL Results

Joe Mixon finally showed what he’s capable of, rushing for 151 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns this week and helping both the Bengals and rookie quarterback Joe Burrow to their first win in the process. In this game, Joe Burrow becomes the first rookie in NFL history to throw for 300+ yards in three straight games.  Dalvin Cook was at it as well, posting another whopping 130 rushing yards and 2 more touchdowns to get the Vikings to their first win of the season also.  A special shout out to George Kittle as he marked his return to action with a stellar performance, yet even he could not help the 49ers as they succumbed to the Eagles, who recorded their first win.

The big injury news this week concerns Austin Ekeler (hamstring, 4-6 weeks) and Nick Chubb (MCL, ‘several weeks’). The Browns should be able to cover Chubb’s absence with the irrepressible Kareem Hunt but the Chargers will find it more difficult to replace Ekeler’s production. A huge chance for the rookie Kelley to expand on his early season promise.
The Jets and Giants both remain on ZERO wins, which is no surprise, but whilst the Jets fans are still clamouring for the head of Gase, the Texans fans were dealing with their own beheading as Bill O’Brien was given the chop after falling to yet another defeat.
The other member of the 0-4 club are the Atlanta Falcons and they were brushed aside by the Adams-less Packers. I think I could play in this Packers offence with Rodgers slinging the ball, the man just does not miss. This game was such an efficient display from them overall, great defence in the form of Za’Darius Smith and Tight End Tonyan weighed in with 3 touchdowns from just 6 targets.

We’ve mentioned Tom’s hapless Jets already, no better was my Bears, falling to the Colts with a whimper. It was one of the most boring games I’ve ever watched, a battle between Old Man Rivers and Nick Foles just felt like I was being punished for past life crimes.  Tony’s Dolphins couldn’t stop the Seahawks from marching to 4-0 and Marks Football Team (when are they sorting this name out?) were powerless to stop the Ravens from bouncing back from their previous loss, Lamar Jackson running for a career-long 50 yard touchdown in this one. The Patriots couldn’t stop Rob’s Chiefs so at least one of us has something to be happy about this week, NFL-wise at least!

The Tipster Table

No big winner for the Far From Lombardi accumulator yet but after week 4 we have a clear cut leader with Rob at the top, alone at 3-1. Tom is still looking to get in to profit for the season. This is the week we all pick a winner, I can feel it coming…

Week 4 Fantasy Football Results

We finally have one of the listeners leading the pack in the race for a free team jersey! Mahomes-Under-The-Hammer was about half-a-point short of throwing up a 200-burger when beating Rob’s Crown-Takers this week. All of the listeners smashed it this week though, winning all of their match ups, Lamar-MVP scoring more than double Tony’s points and Generic-Fantasy-Name making Mark’s Skins suffer at the bottom, now at 0-4. Tom got crushed in the only all Far From Lombardi match up, by yours truly. Unlucky Tom.

If you open a William Hill account using any of our links you’ll be supporting the site and the podcast but more importantly, if you’re a new player you can get the William Hill 2 x £15 free bets for a £10er. Don’t be a divvy though, betting is supposed to be fun, if you can’t laugh about losing what you’ve bet, you’re taking it too seriously and have probably bet too much, take it easy!
